With absolute determination, Guaranfood Manufacturing Corporation was established in October 1988 by its founder Ms. Clarissa A. Cavero. The company started its operation with minimal capital investment and manpower support. With the Hawaiian Ham as its sole product, the office, as well as the factory, was housed in a 52 sq. m. lot within the family residence.
In 1989, the company shifted to production of condiments, making the Hawaiian Ham a seasonal product during Christmas season.
With the growing demand for its quality food products & cognizant of the fact that critical factors such as convenient access to public transport, communication, water system, electricity & available needed resources are important in the success of any manufacturing venture, the company has started the construction of a new building in 1994. This is strategically located at Everlasting St., Patria Village, Del Remedio, San Pablo City, through the assistance of the Technology & Livelihood Resource Center and Planters Development Bank.
Hence, the company shifted from a backyard-type to a fully commercialized food condiments manufacturing business. This served as the catalyst in the growth of GUARANFOOD MANUFACTURING CORPORATION.
Since then, continuous upgrading of facilities is being undertaken.
Delivery vehicles are acquired to assure timely delivery of products to clients from various locations.
Continuous upgrading of equipment is also being undertaken. In 2003, an Automatic Filling Machine was installed which the company acquired through loan assistance from DOST SET-UP Program. In addition, bigger S/S Steam Jacketed Kettle was acquired. This increased the capacity for sauces production. Cooling Bath was also installed in the same area to improve production process flow and product quality.
